Welcome to Utah College Application Week!
October 28-29, 2024
This program aims to help high school seniors navigate the college admissions process and give the opportunity to each high school senior to submit at least one college admissions application during the school day!
Step 1: You're Already Accepted - ADMIT UTAH

Step 2: Make note of any additional items you need to submit with your application
Transcripts: Layton High Transcript Request | Parchment
Check your DSD email account for an email from parchment.com. You should have received an email on 09/19/2024 with instructions for creating your account.
You will use Parchment to send your high school transcript to all the colleges you apply to
Important Notes:
When you login to Parchment, replace your student email address with a personal email address. Your DSD email address will be disabled after you graduate
ACT score: can be found on your transcript, or you may be required to send your scores directly from ACT

Step 3: Create a studentaid.gov account: Create Account | Federal Student Aid
You will need this account to complete your FAFSA form starting December 1. Many grants, loans, and scholarships will require that you submit a FAFSA

Step 4: Scholarship Search
Use the District scholarship Database to search scholarship opportunities.
Check the Layton High Scholarship and Financial Aid Information page (under the Counseling tab). Click on Monthly Newsletter to see current scholarship opportunities.

Go to the university’s financial aid and scholarships page to see scholarships available to first year students (after you are admitted).
Step 5: Student Survey
Scan the QR code or click on the link to complete the student survey https://forms.office.com/r/yUmKPh5LJF
RAFFLE TICKET! Please show staff that you completed your survey to receive a raffle ticket for College Swag prizes. Winners will be notified to come to the Counseling Center to receive their prize.
Step 6: Fill out a school flag with your name to display where you applied!
