Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with us! On Friday, March 21, Davis School District will join the global celebration of World Down Syndrome Day by encouraging everyone to Rock Your Socks. This event is a fun way to raise awareness and show support for individuals with Down syndrome. Why Mismatched Socks? World Down Syndrome Day is observed on 3/21, symbolizing the three copies of the 21st chromosome in individuals with Down syndrome. Socks were chosen because under a microscope, chromosomes look like mismatched socks. How to Participate We encourage all students and staff to wear mismatched socks on Friday, March 21.
