Important Information for Seniors

Parents, Guardians, and Seniors,

The end of the year is approaching quickly, we are excited to send you the important dates leading up to  graduation!  In preparation, all seniors have been added to a Canvas course for graduation that will keep students and parent observers updated if there are any changes to the schedule.  Please remember that the date of graduation was changed to Thursday, May 27 at 9:00am to accommodate the needs of WSU and the Dee Events Center.

First, because graduation is a co-curricular event, we will not be Covid testing for graduation.

Second, as part of graduation we also ask that all seniors complete the “Senior Exit Survey”, so ask your student if they have already completed this form.  Their input provides us with helpful information about our students’ experiences and future plans and we use that to improve for next year.

Third, if your student is receiving an award or scholarship, we would like to honor them in the Senior Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 14 from 7:30-8:15am. Please make sure your senior has submitted their award/scholarship information by April 30 to Mrs. McMillan the Scholarship Advisor.  Students being honored will receive a letter/invitation to attend.

Last, each graduate will be issued 4 tickets for graduation.  Families who wish to request Extra Tickets for Graduation can do so May 3-14, for up to 3 additional tickets using the link provided.

  • Tickets will be distributed equitably one at a time until all tickets have been allocated.
  • Graduates will be informed of their total ticket numbers by May 21.
  • Graduates will be sent a link with a unique promo code to claim electronic tickets.

Attached you will find a calendar of events for the end of the year, please add the dates to your calendars!  We are excited to have so many ways to celebrate such a fantastic senior class!  It has been a crazy year, and all our students, especially our seniors, have truly risen to the challenges and been examples to our staff of how to overcome!

Thank you,

LHS Administration
