School board rule 277-717 regarding Course Grade Forgiveness was approved in March 2017.
The rule states that a student may improve a grade by repeating the same course or a comparable course. The LEA [school] will have to adjust the student’s grade and GPA to reflect the higher grade and exclude from the student’s permanent record the lower grade with no indication on the student’s record that the course was repeated.
In order to facilitate a request for Course Grade Forgiveness click on this link, print out the form, and set up an appointment to meet with your student’s counselor.
