Layton High School, established in 1966, is one of nine public secondary schools in the Davis School District. Our community is made up of families from Layton, Kaysville, Clearfield, and Syracuse. Through an in depth college preparatory and career-oriented curricufum, Layton High School offers students an opportunity to excel academically and develop into responsible citizens.
Layton High School is accredited by the Utah State Board of Education and the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges.
Academics
Full-time 10*-12" grade students are enrolled in eight classes for two semesters each school year. Students attend four classes every other day on a block schedule.
Graduation candidates must earn 27 credits in specific academic categories. 25 credit is earned each quarter for each class. Students must also have 35 Citizenship credits for graduation.
Unweighted GPA's are calculated using a 4-point scale: A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0.
